Do you have that song in your head now? You can thank me later.
You know who else should be thanking me? My brothers. That's right---a recent study now suggests that individuals with sisters "are happier, more optimistic, less stressed, and better at coping with life's problems."
Uh, huh. Just as I suspected.
Feel free to call, email, or send cards my way, guys. YOU ARE WELCOME.

Yeah, how about that? I was just telling our family doctor about that one. Lucky little boy we're having.
The thing that cracked me up -- and made me think of you because of your recent post on only children -- was that having a brother actually turned out to be a NEGATIVE. Apparently for your future mental health, the best is to have a sister, second best is to be an only child, and worst is to have one or more brothers.
My famiy doesn't fit that pattern, tho. Unless I overestimate my own mental health (entirely possible), I feel like I am happier and healthier than my brother, who has the benefit of a sister in his life.
I love it - and somehow I'm not quite sure my two brothers would agree. Actually, maybe they would, now that they're adults. Thanks for sharing! (And yes, I have that song stuck in my head now.)
